Which version do I need?

Mac: the same download works on Apple silicon and Intel Macs running macOS 13.0 or later. There is no processor version to choose.

Windows: open Settings → System → About and check System type. Choose Intel / AMD for an x64-based processor, or Windows on ARM for an ARM-based processor.

Installer or Portable? Choose Download installer for the usual setup. Choose Portable to run the Widget without installing it; keep it in a writable folder, where it can also save your recordings.

Join your meeting. When the Widget shows its reminder, select Start recording. The timer and audio meters show that recording is underway.
When you finish, select the red Stop button. On Mac, you choose when to stop; the recording is saved on your Mac.
On your phone, open Receive files in Trustscribe. Use the same Wi-Fi and keep the phone unlocked.
In the Widget, select Send beside your phone. The walkthrough shows Ask to send it to another device enabled in Settings. Accept the recording in the Trustscribe app.
Keep Trustscribe open until the transfer finishes. Once received, select Transcribe now to continue in the app.

Which calling apps can I use?

Pretty much anything you listen to on your computer—Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Meet, even the audio from a YouTube video. Just choose what to record in the Widget.

Does the Widget transcribe or run AI?

The Widget captures audio and transfers recordings. Transcription and AI run in the Trustscribe app on the receiving device. After the required models are downloaded, those features work offline.

What is included for free?

Five Widget transfers per month are included for free, with Pro for additional transfers. Transcription in Trustscribe stays free.

Does a bot join my meeting?

No. The Widget records audio on your computer without adding a meeting bot. Let participants know when you record.
